Everything you need to know about the Cheshire U8 Festival on the 21st April 2024.
We look forward to welcoming you all to the Cheshire Under 8’s festival, hosted by Macclesfield Rugby Club. This page summarises information needed for the day.

Parking
Please can you ask coaches and parents to arrive early to avoid congestion when parking, so that we can get the festival underway on time. There will be parking at the club. Overflow parking to be confirmed. Please check back here or refer to the registration pack for details.
Cars – £5 for up to 4 people / £10 for more
Coaches – £20
Programmes
You will have the opportunity to buy a programme of the Day for £5.

Team Tents
Feel free to bring tents or gazebos for your team. Please erect them where directed – this can be agreed when you register
Lunch
Packed lunches will be provided for the players and will be distributed to the coaches at registration, based on the number of players registered.
Refreshments
The ‘Priory Café’ situated downstairs on the car park area at the clubhouse, will be serving a range of food and drinks. Breakfast sandwiches available from 9.30am onwards . Canteen and bar available throughout the day in the clubhouse. Further options for food and hot and cold drinks will be available.
Please note players must remove boots before going in the Club House
Toilets
Toilets are available by entering the clubhouse from the Sin Bin Bar end, with boots ON.
Further toilets are available upstairs in the clubhouse, but need boots OFF.
First Aid and Safeguarding
Each club is primarily responsible for the first aid needs and safeguarding of it’s own players. However, MRUFC will provide further support. St Johns will also provide a first aid station which, adjacent to the Sin Bin Bar, in the car park. The welfare of the children or young person or vulnerable adult is paramount to any other consideration. We want everyone to have an enjoyable but safe day. If any issues arise, including lost children, then volunteers at this station will assist.

Photography
It is the responsibility of each Team Manager/Head Coach to inform me of any player who does not have photography consent.
Spectators
Parents/spectators are requested to stand behind the perimeter tape. No spectators are allowed onto the pitches, just players, coaches and referees. Please do not use this as an access route. Clubs should appoint a Respect champion and be mindful of our spectator policy attached

BBQs
We do not allow any barbeques on or around the pitches.
Dogs
With the exception of Guide Dogs, MRUFC do not allow DOGS. Please make sure that parents are made aware of this as they will be asked to remove them from the club.
